Florida Tech University Online, which is also known as Florida Institute of Technology, is nationally recognized for delivering a high-quality curriculum to its student body. It was established in 1958 as Brevard Engineering College in Melbourne, Florida. The name of the institution was eventually changed in 1966 to Florida Institute of Technology, and in the 1990’s, it decided to change its promotional identity to Florida Tech.
